Becoming a Friend

Everyone is welcome to become a Friend. As a Friend, there is no obligation on your part, whether financial or otherwise. Our main aim is to bring people together to share an interest in our unique historic monuments.

That said, all donations are most gratefully received and are put towards the upkeep of the monuments at the Church, special events for Friends and marketing materials - where necessary - to promote the Friends scheme.

Becoming a Friend of Bisham Church can be as simple as registering an interest in the Church and its unique historic monuments. In return you will receive regular newsletters by email and invitations to exclusive events. This is a wonderful way to learn more about the unique history of our church and to meet other like-minded people.

There are plenty of opportunities for Friends to become more actively involved in preserving and sharing knowledge about the unique historic monuments at All Saints' Church should they wish to. We are always interested to hear from anyone seeking a volunteering role. Do please send an email to welcome@bishamchurchfriends.org to find out more.

Cancelling a subscription

We are always sad to lose a Friend. Should you wish to cancel your subscription, for whatever reason, all you need to do is send an email to welcome@bishamchurchfriends.org and we will remove your name from our mailing list.

Please note, if you have a paid subscription, we require 2 weeks' notice to deactivate the auto-renewal payment system.

Renewing a subscription

Once you have signed up to become a Friend, we hope that you will stay with us year on year. For this reason, we have introduced an automatic renewal system to make it easier for you to remember.

If your subscription includes a financial donation, your credit card will be charged automatically when your renewal is due. You will receive notifications via email to remind you of your renewal date.

If you would like to change your subscription and donate a different amount, please contact us via email to let us know (ideally 4 weeks before your renewal date) and we will be delighted to help you with this. To find out more about our different subscriptions, please click on the button below.

Refund policy

We do not generally offer refunds because payments to Bisham Church Friends are considered as donations towards the upkeep of our historic monuments. However, we will of course consider a refund request under exceptional circumstances. If this is the case, please send an email addressed to the Chairman of the Friends on welcome@bishamchurchfriends.org explaining why you would like a refund.

Your personal information

We require your name and email address in order to be able to add you to our mailing list, send you our regular newsletters and keep you informed about events. We assume that, if you have requested to subscribe to out newsletter online or via email, or you have asked to become a Friend, we have your permission to contact you via email. From time to time we may write to you about Friends' related issues, but we will not bombard you with emails. We will not publish your personal details or share your contact information with anyone else without your permission. You can request for your information to be removed from our database at any time by sending an email to welcome@bishamchurchfriends.org
